New Zealand: Jump into Adventure

John A. Busam and his two daughters, Morgan and Megan, decided to take the plunge and travel across the world to New Zealand. When they arrived they explored the city of Christchurch and stumbled upon a magnificent chocolate restaurant, “She Chocolat.” The restaurant happens to also be a school where people can learn to be chocolate chefs. All-natural cocoa beans are flown in from the country of Fiji, and the restaurant is now becoming well-known all around the world. The International Antarctic Centre was a fun place to visit because they have the Blue Penguins. “Blue Penguins are the smallest penguins in the world and were a lot of fun to watch and play with”, said the Busam family. The center has a rescue and rehabilitation area for the penguins, and they actually partnered with the Cincinnati Zoo to construct it. The museum shows their tourists what it is actually like for one to be in Antarctica during their tours.
The girls mentioned that out of everything they did in New Zealand, it was the family drive to the Aoraki Mount Cook National Park that was their favorite. Seeing Aoraki Mount Cook, which is also the highest mountain in New Zealand, was so breathtakingly beautiful that one would never want to leave. The national park is also where many of the scenes in the films Lord of the Rings were filmed. They were able to explore the beauty of the park and enjoy having fun around the Tasman, which is New Zealand’s longest glacier. The family recommends for those who are planning to vacation to New Zealand that they need to explore the towns of Queenstown and Milford for the gorgeous scenery and waterfalls.
